🚀 Exciting news! LeapWave Technologies is part of the newly launched EU-funded project LUMINA! 🇪🇺
Officially kicked off on September 1st, 2026, LUMINA (Horizon Europe) brings together a powerhouse European consortium coordinated by Thales Research & Technology, alongside industry leaders, research hubs, and universities including AMO, TECHNIKON, ETH Zürich, Telefónica, and UC3M.
With cloud computing, AI, and emerging 6G applications driving exponential data traffic, current communication networks face severe capacity and energy bottlenecks. LUMINA addresses this by developing breakthrough photonic and RF interfaces capable of delivering unprecedented bandwidth operating at frequencies up to 500 GHz while drastically improving energy efficiency.
At LeapWave, we are proud to bring our core expertise to this €4.8M initiative:
- Dielectric Waveguide Interconnects: Integrating low-loss interconnect solutions to bridge advanced photonic devices (based on graphene and electro-optic polymers) with microelectronics and packaging.
- High-Frequency Packaging: Enabling seamless signal transport and packaging up to sub-THz frequencies.
